IN THE INTEREST OF PRESERVING PUBLIC ORDER
AND MAINTAINING AUTONOMOUS ACTIVITY:
PRESENTING, AN INITIAL CONGRESS ON JUDICIARY
CONSIDERING RECENT EVENTS, I, DR. S. M. PA'ELE, PROPOSE THE FORMATION OF A BODY OF JUDGES MEANT TO PRESERVE ORDER AMONG US DENIZENS OF THE COSMIC SPHERE. IN THE INTEREST OF THE PRESERVATION OF PROPERTY, THE RIGHTS OF THE INDIVIDUAL, AND THE MAINTENANCE OF CIVILITY IN THE FACE OF TRANSGRESSION, A BOARD OF JUDGES ARE TO BE FOUNDED WITH THE INTENTION OF SETTING PRECEDENT FOR REASONABLE RESOLUTION.
On a more personal note, I wish to thank you all for considering the possibility. To clarify upon their specific role, these judges will be only tasked with the role of serving as a mediator for inter-personal disagreements, and determining a level of compensation deemed both necessary and reasonable. This group shall serve no other purpose than to judge, and ensure justice is served:-- No laws nor restrictions shall be passed, and only punishment determined. I intend to validate this idea with a significant number of people, before arranging a public meeting to decide candidates for the first round of judges. Until then, I will serve as executor of this group, and I implore anyone curious about the idea to come find me and ask any questions which may arise.
Salutations and Ever Your Servant, Dr. S. M. Pa'ele

I think I get the idea of this group, a group of people who are there to settle disagreements rather than something like cops or enforcers who are there to stop any fighting whatsoever. The wording is a bit harsh though, maybe use a friendlier name instead of judges? ~'Boon'.

This unit finds this formation of a grouping helpful for future problem preventions. The murder of Grizzly has left this unit feeling hollow, and I wish to help prevent future incidents from such a horrible horrible event. -Sturm

Siegruhm agrees with this. It will help keep our base of operations lawful and meet demands of the increasing population. I hate to see such catastrophic things happen to even one of our members. A strong team of adjudicators to decide the verdict on a certain problem.
If this was to go forth I think it would be better if they were utilised for more than just issuing a final say in things. However, a good start would be to get this through first.
Good idea.
- Siegruhm.

I don’t know what this is, but law and order sounds like a nice change of pace!
